People Analytics 3 years in – what have we learnt and what will be next?

The maturity of the HR analytics field has increased dramatically over the last 3 years. Unilever – like many other companies – has put effort and resource into unlocking value out of HR datasets. In this session, Ben will focus on what went well in those early days, reflect on what could have gone better and the lessons that were learnt – and looking to the future, what must we do now to get the most out of the next 3 years.

This session is for People Analytics leaders. The presentation will focus on how to ensure we're relevant for the future, based on what we did well (and badly) in the past. It will address ways of working and execution, and how we built the team - creating a start-up inside a corporate.

The session will cover:

- What we focussed on in the first few years
- What we realised we now need to understand and do better
- The role that technology can and will play
- My point of view: 5 areas we now should focus on
- Examples/case studies: digitally disrupt the employee engagement agenda, and measuring the impact of learning

Biography:

Ben started his professional career in HR, having graduated in Biochemistry from Oxford University in 2004. At Unilever, he has experience across a number of roles including HR transformation, HR systems implementation, Learning and HR strategy in the HR Expertise function.

Since 2014, Ben has built out and led the HR Analytics and Employee Insights team, with a mission of creating better HR decision-making through data-orientated insight.
